Our team is currently managing a large-scale manufacturing relocation and production transfer that will bring established tooling, equipment, processes, and customer programs into existing operations. While the project is still underway, the work completed so far demonstrates the flexibility, expertise, and manufacturing capacity required to successfully execute a transition of this scale.
More importantly, it reinforces something we’ve always believed: when customers face difficult manufacturing challenges, Genesee is ready to step up.
A Manufacturing Relocation with Significant Scope
Production transfers are rarely simple.
A successful manufacturing relocation requires far more than moving equipment from one facility to another. Tooling must be validated. Suppliers must be onboarded. Processes must be approved. Production must be prepared for launch. And throughout the process, customer expectations remain unchanged.
For this ongoing project, Genesee is preparing to integrate:
- Approximately 20 production tools
- 16 active part numbers
- Five major pieces of capital equipment
- Welding operations
- Orbital riveting stations
- Staking operations and supporting tooling
- Multiple finishing and secondary manufacturing processes
At the same time, our teams are coordinating supplier development, process validation, customer approvals, equipment installation, and production planning activities.
The goal is straightforward: create a seamless transition while maintaining the quality, responsiveness, and reliability customers expect.
Manufacturing Capacity Is More Than Available Floor Space

Preparing for incoming equipment requires strategic planning, production floor adjustments, and workflow optimization to ensure both existing and future programs can operate efficiently.
