Because of this commitment, we are proud to share that Misty Hale has earned recognition as a 2025 Woman of Excellence in Metal Forming & Fabricating by MetalForming Magazine as part of its 10th Annual Women of Excellence awards.
This national recognition is presented in partnership with the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and the Women in Manufacturing Association (WiM). Together, these organizations honor women who demonstrate leadership, influence, and long-term impact within the manufacturing industry. In Misty’s case, the recognition reflects the meaningful contributions she continues to make at Genesee Group and across the industry. A Career Built from the Ground Up
Misty’s career in manufacturing reflects years of dedication and hands-on experience. She began working in the metal stamping industry at just 19 years old, starting in an entry-level rework position. From that point forward, she consistently took on new responsibilities and expanded her skill set.
As her career progressed, Misty gained experience across nearly every area of manufacturing, including:
Rework and press operations (250-ton to 1200-ton presses)
MIG welding and assembly operations
Quality control and document data control
Shipping, customer service, planning, and press scheduling
Accounting, including accounts payable and receivable
Human Resources
Because of this broad experience, Misty now serves as Office Administrator overseeing Accounting and HR. In this role, she brings more than two decades of industry knowledge to Genesee Group’s daily operations.
Leadership That Puts People First
Misty’s leadership style reflects experience, consistency, and a strong people-first mindset. She approaches challenges with steady problem-solving and steps in wherever support is needed. As a result, she has built trust across teams and departments.
Beyond her day-to-day responsibilities, Misty has led several initiatives that continue to strengthen Genesee Group’s culture and future workforce. For example:
She helped launch Genesee Group’s first co-op program in partnership with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology
She leads Genesee’s Safety Team, reinforcing a strong focus on employee well-being
She actively mentors employees across departments
Through these efforts, Misty demonstrates leadership rooted in accountability, collaboration, and empathy. These qualities align directly with the purpose of the Women of Excellence recognition.
